Harlan Beith 27.05.2010 | toss your amp and grab a pair of m-audio BX8A's, call it a evening and enjoy the clean sounds of studio monitors. you can pick up a pair for around 350 if you look hard enough. |
Matthew Urtel 26.05.2010 | If It was me I would be looking at some Adam A3Xs. With that budget you are looking at entry level speakers with mediocre sound quality. A decent monitor (Adam A8X) runs over $800 ea. |
Graham Frazier 26.05.2010 | I just picked up the JBL's, and there not bad. Nothing great, and they're lacking a little on the low end. But that's alright for me, i just needed something that i could bring with me to work on songs in the van on tour. And i had a little credit left at guitar center, so i picked them up. But i would suggest trying out all of your options, and really listening to the difference in quality on each model. In the end, it's up to you to decide what sounds best. |
Scarlett Saupp 26.05.2010 | Multiple threads posted on this topic already, but I'll try and cut through multiple opinions and give you my honest opinion - it's completely subjective. If you seriously want the best choice out of that list, you are going to need to listen to some music you know very very well through each and every one of them. Your ears, not your peers, need to make this choice |
