Omni Control + Traktor Pro = Mic and Broadcast issue My Problem: I mix live on dnbradio.com, and my setup is the Omni Control + an Oxygen 8 V2 with Traktor Pro. I need to incorporate a mic with my live mixes, but I only have a usb Microphone (Samson CO1U condenser). In order to do this, I have to use ASIO4ALL as the audio interface, and set the omni control to the output and use the mic as the input. Unfortunately, this makes my latency increase too much and makes my operation/mix instable. I have to deal with buffer clicks and the hassle of having the audio through on either deck C or D (one of which I already use for Samples) and is a pain because I have only the one fader for decks A C - B D, which creates way too much confusion for a DJ. What I want to do: Does anyone know if the mic input, on the front of the Omni Control, will register as an input if I use the Omni Control as the set audio interface? If I can do this, the I will invest in a 1/4" mic for the controller and use that for my mixes, which should at least fix my latency and buffer problem. When I use the Omni as my audio interface, my mix broadcasts and controller responds like a beauty. So.. Does anyone know if this is the case, or can recommend an alternative way of incorporating a microphone in my broadcast without putting much more strain on my setup? If not... can anyone give some suggestions as to what hardware or possibly even software I can look into in order to do all the above? | |
