Reply to Beginner gear (thinking V7 and SA.3) any advice?

Hi everyone, i'm new here and a beginner and am trying to decide on what gear to start with. I'd prefer to buy a pretty minimal setup for now to see how I get on, while also having the option to add bits in the future (without making my previous purchases completely redundant).

I've been doing lots of reading around these community s and so far i'm believeing about numark's V7, just using the 1 with the deck switch to start with and learning the basics like beatmatching etc with it.

I'm not a massive hip hop fan or anything: more into techno, minimal and electronica atm (indie too) so scratching isn't a priority or anything (tho don't mind having it there as an option to play with). Does this seem like a reasonable choice?
