Bag for the Xone:DX
Bag for the Xone:DX Posted on: 22.07.2010 by Kecia Wnukowski I was looking for a bag/case for the Xone: Dx as there was none previewed specifically (A&H what were you believeing? Expecting people to carry the unit around in the original cardboard case? Great marketing for a supposed "carryable" unit....).After a bit of research and following Mixarchitekt's advice and Phil's review of their product I finally grabbed the Mono DJ EFX365 from Mono cases. I got lucky to find one new on ebay with a 60€ discount. Here's the official link: http://www.monocase.com/mono-efx-dj.asp Here's the review from Dj ranking s: http://www.djranking s.com/2009/08/2...es-bag-review/ And here's a picture of the beast with the DX and a 17" laptop (and cables, headphones, etc, etc...). I guess this bag could also be a good alternative for the next to come "Traktor system" (and apc40 and all the other large controllers). | |

Jeraldine Celestial 06.11.2010 | The gaming console from Everki looks promising. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-958-_-Product |
Korey Ehman 09.08.2010 | I ordered a Mono 365 the other day. Lugging the thing on a plane this week so at least it'll be well protected although it was serious cash for a bag imo! |
Yon Gigler 09.08.2010 | I really want a hard case for mine. I want to keep it in the case while I dj. A bag would be of no use to me. I did read somewhere that the idj2 case fits with very slight mods but with it being discontinued its proving more difficult to get one. Although saying that I would much prefer a purpose built one for the DX. |
Colleen Lothery 09.08.2010 | xone dx dimensions with all the knobs and feet included are: with: 400mm height: 362mm dept: 70mm http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/dl.asp?file=618 i believe that the only magma bag who possible fit is the turntable bag On this link you can find a flightcase: http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk...p?id=2685-6557 |
Korey Ehman 06.08.2010 | On the Magma site, they have listed which of their bags fit the DX http://www.dynamic-distribution.net/...A/Measures.pdf Magma Digi Trolley Magma Digi Backpack Magma Multi Purpose DJ bag 50/15" Magma Multi purpose studio gig bag Magma Digi Control bag 300 Magma DJ Controller bag |
Kecia Wnukowski 04.08.2010 | What would be nice would be to find here what are the bags that actually do fit the Dx and not some random searches or guesses. |
Korey Ehman 03.08.2010 | This might do it - http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/produc..._campaign=base |
Fredericka Pluhar 31.07.2010 | Just bought the Magma Digi Backpack. I will post some pictures and info when I received it. |
Caitlyn Scarantino 29.07.2010 | I will email ahead, once I actually buy a new midi controller. Im still doing research before buying anything, ie controller, bag & accessories. I wanted to buy the DX, but that got halted till I see what's up with the new Traktor controller that might be the ticket for me. But yeah I know disappoints, I must have brought varies with different bags over the past 4 years some are perfect in one aspect, but not in others. What I believe it might come down to is either using a huge backpack (which I have 2) or getting an XL Timbuk2 Messenger Bag, so I can the extras like a SLR camera, cables, X1, headphones and backup cds. |
Fredericka Pluhar 28.07.2010 | Please let me know, this seems like in interesting alternative! |

Fredericka Pluhar 27.07.2010 | I just found some other bags: -Magma digi backpack -Zomo Digital DJ-Bag - Allen & Heath Brand (Made for the 3d) |
Caitlyn Scarantino 26.07.2010 | Somebody has to come out with a bag that doesnt shout, "Hey look at me, there's at least 3-5K worth of gear in here, please steal me!" |
Kecia Wnukowski 24.07.2010 | Yeah I had a look at it, it has a built in trolley handle but I didn't see the internal dimensions so I passed (and considering the picture I doubted the dx could fit) Also whatever the bag, believe that the Dx + a laptop + the weight of the bag itself + is probably going around 10 kilos so toughness, method(s) of carrying is going to be prime criterias (and you don't want to damage a 1000$ controller). Note: is it me or the price of the efx365 has risen since last week on their site???? |
24.07.2010 | I belive this could work as well for the DX and I belive it offers more of a hard case kind of protection as opposed to just a heavy padded bag: http://axioluggage.com/beatbox.html |
Fredericka Pluhar 24.07.2010 | What other bags can be used for the dx? I'm not diggin the mono bag or the controller bags from UDG... |
Corine Kasman 23.07.2010 | Yep, that's the same case I use for mine, a Mono 365. Built like a brick shit house and could just outlast the controller (well, maybe...). Phil. |
