Reply to Boss RC-2 loop pedal

Hey everyone,
I am new to the community s, since djcommunity s.com is down, I have been forced to find a new community in search for questions, tips, and advice. I appreciate any thoughts

Got my RC-2 hooked up to my TTM-57SL and running Ableton's "The Bridge".
I must say it is a very handy piece of hardware. Although, when searching info on loop pedal's I came across some people using Ableton as a live looping center and even Serto its self. Can anyone help me assure myself that this is just some elaborate myth or drop some knowledge on me.

Also, I wouldn't mind hearing if someone has experimented with this loop pedal just on its own.
