So Francis 17.11.2010 | So recently I stumbled upon the Ortofon O One and O2, have any of you guys had any experience with either or these and could tell me if they are good and which one would be better for mobile DJing? |
Random X 26.11.2010 | O2s are great. I have worked with them in the form of the Ministry of Sound brand, and they are/were great. Fantastic isolation & fit! |
Jutta Safdari 25.11.2010 | It's very hard to determine if they would be right for mobile djing or not simply because of the fact that sound quality is subjective...To be honest with you, there is no headphone which is right for mobile djing... it just depends on what kinds of isolation you like and what suits you really... However as PhotoJojo pointed out, perhaps the o2's would be a better option, out of the two.. IMHO, i would say that go to the local dj shop and see if you can rent out a few different headphones. Have them over the weekend and try to dj with them. I would usually say rent out 2/ weekend. You will find that these products will be much closer to the finished good (i.e. properly burnt in) and will be a more accurate reflection of what you would have down the line rather than something that is out of the box... |

So Francis 17.11.2010 | Hmm, so then what do the O2's have over the O-Ones? (BTW, thanks for the quick and helpful responses :P ) |
Leeanna Ayla 17.11.2010 | S-Logic is more about being good for your ears and keeping them healthy. I have Ultrasone's Pro 650's with S-Logic and can tell a difference in ear fatigue if I use my Sony's for any length of time. |
So Francis 17.11.2010 | They seem sick from the review...how much of a difference does it make that the O-One's have S-Logic (and is that good for DJ'ing?) as well as the detachable cord? |
Leeanna Ayla 17.11.2010 | I believe I would get the 02's, There's a nice review here. http://www.skratchworx.com/reviews/ortofon_o2.php |
So Francis 17.11.2010 | Do you know which one would be more optimal for DJing? Seeing as the difference is only 50 or so $, is there any benefit for the o2? |
Leeanna Ayla 17.11.2010 | They're good. I believe they're actually made by Ultrosone and are a little less expensive than the equivalent model. |
