My answer to the Lemur/ipad...
Posted on: 30.12.2010 by Graham Frazier

So these came into my work the other day, and i had to snatch them up the second i saw them.
They are IBM Anyplace Kiosk computers. Each one is pretty much a laptop with a Centrino processor, TOUCH SCREEN, and USB, Ethernet, all the usual laptop goodies.

So i'm going to load them up with a stripped down version of XP, and PD/Max. Then set them up as touch controllers.

I'm also believeing about getting another audio 2, and writing up a touch turntable program so i can have something like this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLyXozuJ5p8
then i could just plug up each audio 2 to the house mixer.

Wasn't me, but that's what these are. Pos/Kiosk IBMs. They're built like tanks too. Semi-waterproof, and solid as a brick.

No multi-touch, but i'm taking that into consideration while designing the apps.

Very nice!

Keep a build log for sure, very excited to see how this turns out.

By the way, are they multi-touch?
