Reply to Glitchy Arcade Button Help

I have a VCI-100 with arcade buttons and one of the buttons has became very glitchy. I checked all the connections on the button terminals and everything seems to be OK. That being said, I don't really know what to look for. The button does work from time to time (and up until this past weekend worked flawlessly), but it must be pushed multiple times in a row. Seems to me like the only possibility is a bad connection somewhere or the button itself correct? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated thanks!
