Laurice Migneco 20.11.2010 | Just working on this using Ableton and Max4Live along with User 2 Mode on the Launchpad.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKGOc03eE88 Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 05.01.2011 | Added scene 4 (6 of 8 now done and fully tested) It's called S3nd / R3turn and gives you four options, all give light feedback across the launchpads grid of buttons.... 1, 1 of 8 sends (choose using the round side buttons) across the 8 tracks within the control box of either the Launchpad or an APC40 if you have both attached) 2, 1 of 8 tracks in the control box (APC40 or Launchpad) to control 8 sends on the track 3, The return volumes 4, The macros of the first rack in any of the first 8 Return tracks As before each mode within this scene has full light feedback that updates as you change values using the device, pressing a unlit button sends the value pressing it again turns it off giving quick stabs, pressing a button within that column simply changes the value... Video coming soon, but the Util1ty scene now has windows functionality as well.... Hopefully the next scene will be 8 pages of user assignable midi controls, just got a party to get ready for so it'll go on the back burner for now.... If you want a copy of Octop4d then head over to my blog http://thestudiosessions.co.uk and use the buy now button for the Octop4d.... All my devices require Max4Live and the latest version to work! Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 02.01.2011 | Juts building a new hardwood rack in my studio now that the Launchpad is a permanent feature in my sets.... Sadly the motu 828 has just died so i may need to plump for an audio 8, if only they hadn't discontinued them??? Cheers D |
Myriam Goulart 01.01.2011 | this is making my hangover bearable , love my launchpad , bought it at the same time as an arduinome and ive hardly used the arduinome lol . |
Gilma Marchini 01.01.2011 | I <3 my Launchpad ^.^ |
Laurice Migneco 01.01.2011 | Thanks man, the Launchpads now a proper partner to my APC40 setup rather than trying to compete... If only my macbook had an extra usb port.... Gotta check to see if everything works with a powered hub..... Cheers D |
Leeanna Ayla 30.12.2010 | Very nice work. |
Laurice Migneco 30.12.2010 | https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D162684_6643726_90537 Full manual for download, hope you like what vie been up to!! Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 30.12.2010 | Hi All, Just uploaded the manual, i'll follow up with a video detailing each of the 5 scenes, the latest two add a Utility scene and a Looping scene, rather than put a massive description of how each works in detail i'm just uploading the manual which is fully illustrated.... In summary, Shuffl3r: Visual Feedback on the Launchpad, rearrange slices of audio with reverse and mute options, plus a bonus Bit Crusher Eff3cts: Too much to list!! Loop3r: Control the looping of the clips within the control box of either the Launchpad or an APC40, thus making the Launchpad truly complement the APC40! You can set loops, halve double by start or end point, and move loop by a bar at a time or by it's length....\ Drumr4ck: A simple step sequencer with 8 by 8 banks of samples..... Utility: Best to show you.... Three scenes left to add, these will come over time as they did with the Isotonik device based on users feedback, theres plenty to start off with though.... This device is available (with all of the Modul4r devices thrown in for good measure) by visiting http://thstudiosessions.co.uk Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 12.12.2010 | Now uploaded to the M4ster template folder, http://thestudiosessions.co.uk for details of how to join in.... Added A new set of additional Gaters and Bit Crushing effects, three scenes now fully complete.... Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 01.12.2010 | Now using the side buttons within each scene to control elements the switching of scenes is achieved by holding down User 2 Button and the corresponding page button (right hand side round buttons) With the spare controls i've added swing to the Step Sequencer device that you can dial up or down using the left and right arrows (which change colour to indicate progress) and you can reset to zero by pressing both buttons together..... Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 23.11.2010 | Sadly no, you have to preload you're drum rack with the samples you want, the strict i created it for wanted to complement his own tracks by changing up the drums, therefore when he launches his original track he instantly has the arts available to him to jam alongside, double beats etc.... Cheers D |
Brunilda Kora 23.11.2010 | Wait a minute - the 8 samples get loaded into a drum rack when you load a clip?!? Does that mean you can choose 8 specific samples that get loaded into the drum rack every time you load a specific clip into session view? That's amazing. |
Laurice Migneco 23.11.2010 | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Njg-aScRUuk 8 x 8 banks of samples are available to sequence, you move through the banks either manually by using the left and right arrows or you can trigger jumping to a bank when you launch a specific clip (which you configure) And so i'm done for a bit, got a couple of gigs to get ready for so i'll have to shelve the development in the meantime..... Cheers D |
Laurice Migneco 21.11.2010 | Cheers guys, a lot of work has gone into the LED side of things to ensure you get proper feedback when switching between scenes... Without the knobs of the apc40 this is very much going to be a solitary device that sits on the master, i'll probably move into giving looping control on one scene based on the current position of the launchpads control ring.... As 'm not a producer the next scene to be built is a step sequencer that you can use with a drumrack (it needs a receiver device) my intent is to make it a very simple drum pattern editor like the ipad app i played with in the apple store the other day.... Cheers D |
Audrey Pinda 21.11.2010 | Really neat video. |
Brunilda Kora 21.11.2010 | Looking good, D. Paging with thenround side buttons is awesome. |
