4 channel usb mixer for traktor Looking for a simple solution to use with my MIDI-fighter. No need for any jog-wheels, just a simple 4 channel mixer that I can use with traktor. A built in soundcard would make my life very simple, so that would be awesome too!
Any tips?
My budget is about 300-400 usd. |

Its kinda of funny looking at first but it grows on you and the price is definately worth it although it was smaller than it looks online and I only use mine for playing around with tracks setting loops, cue points and messing with effects and plan on using it to beatgrid my tracks all from the confort of my couch while the wife is watching TV. I dont believe I would buy it for my main hardware if I was going to play a gig but it would probably handle the job and there are plenty of knobs & buttons to map just about anything you could want. |

I'm looking for a cheap 4 channel mixer as well soonish, just waiting to see what the new NI audio interfaces going to be like as I need a 4 channel soundcard as well....
It's based on the DJX 750 by the looks of it which costs around 280$ in Switzerland and has better faders + USB...I hope its close in price becasue the other option from Behringer is the NOX 606 but I'm sure that will be more expensive
Only two things I dont like about it: the yellow/red colors (prefer green/red) and the fader for the master out, really annoying |

I've got one of these and have used it as a four channel mixer. It work flawlessly but its just doenst feel like a mixer. Knobs are too close and the faders feel flimsy. It was nice to have four decks with eq's + 4 full FX on one device but I still ended up going back to my 3 channel external mixer. Im considering stripping it apart for my DIY project but I need to find some way to interface with the CPU. |

Well, you can really just map it like you see fit, if you have no other controller what-so-ever, it might lack a few buttons, but apart from that it's great. What I did was to use 2 columns (so 6 knobs and 2 faders) for each channel: I mapped the 4-band-eq, the filter and something I don't remember (gain would be a good option, if you feel like you're capable to do gain matching completely by ear) to the 6 knobs and the volume to the left fader (the right fader I practically did not use, but there is again a couple of plausible options to believe of, maybe gain or pitch - but for the latter the resolution might not suffice). 14.01.2011 | Another though would be to check out when the DJTT refurbished VCI-100 will be available and pick up one of those then just add a sound card your chioces for that are almost unlimited I have seen the Torq connectiv soundcard sell for $60 on ebay and there is always the NI audio 2/4/8 and it looks like they are coming out with a Audio 10 so you could probably score a used Audio 2/4/8 cheap when people want to upgrade they will most likely unload thier soundcards. |

u just need and Midi-to-Usb interface~ $20
