Trigger finger (a viable mf replacement)
Posted on: 23.01.2011 by Soon Zafer
So I don't know if this is sacrelegious to post here but I feel like the m audio trigger finger with it's knobs and faders would make a good model for one of those sacred custom midi fighters. Could those four faders be used as SUUPPEEER FAADEERS? Hmm just my late evening thoughts.

That's true, I just felt the need to point out that there's more out there than just arcade buttons. Arcade buttons are cool but unless you're doing some really tight and fast cue point drumming they ain't all that necessary.

not sure you can achive superfaders with the trigger's firmware, besides it's faders are regula 0-127 MIDI, fast cuts will throw away any relative fiddling

There's no reason that you have to go for arcade buttons. Pads are also excellent.

You could make a wooden top for a trigger finger if you're in a pinch that would probably work.

scrillex has connections to joel, who is starting to appeal to people en mass and is a geek at heart

people see both of their new favorite artist using this thing with arcade buttons that does cool things to music....

good move DJTT. this is a tactic used by pioneer. i can already see the MF becoming the drum pad of the future.
