VCI100SE Upgrade?
VCI100SE Upgrade? Posted on: 01.02.2011 by Adam Requena So I'm looking at purchasing a VCI100 from DJTT, but I'm wondering if anyone can shine some light on my situation.I see that for $650 I can get the VCI100 SE w/ a sound card, and for $850 I can get the VCI100 Arcade w/ a sound card. And now to the questions: What is the difference between these two controllers is aside from the arcade buttons on the bottom? And if they are the same, why wouldn't I buy the SE, a VCI-100 Arcade Overlay for $30 and 8 arcade buttons for a whopping total of $16 and build my own Arcade out of an SE? Thanks for any help you can offer! | |

Adam Requena 02.02.2011 | alright, thank you all very much! |
Gilma Marchini 02.02.2011 | Resale? Other than that no. |
Adam Requena 02.02.2011 | so then, realistically, there are no differences between the VCI100SE and the Arcade? EDIT: aside from the arcade buttons, that is. |
Tatum Ansaldo 02.02.2011 | what jojo said. |

Tatum Ansaldo 02.02.2011 | doing the arcade mod yourself takes time and a little skill and voids the warranty, but there's nothing else stopping you from doing it! |
Gilma Marchini 02.02.2011 | Time, but then again the arcade mod from DJTT comes with a 1 yr warranty, is guaranteed to work, gets you whatever knobs you want, the king (Ean) will sign it, and it'll tend to be of higher quality and last a wee-lil bit longer. It is a hefty price for the mod, but if your not technically inclined it's worth it, but if you eat solder for breakfast, then hell, mod it your self (DJTT even encourages it). |
