Colored knobs from djtechtools store

I dont know if its just me or the knobs I received.. but the black inserts all needed to be superglued back onto the knob. Dont get me wrong.. they are awesome.. changes the speed I can access things.. color coding fx sends and level knobs on all my gear... xone 92, xone 2d, electribes etc.
So I was wondering if people are doing the same thing, or not having any issues with them falling out or caring if they do.

Edit-Im not referring to the plastic insert on the bottom of the knob which allows you get the right position... Im reffering to the black strip line going down the button... sorry for any confusion

I really wish a set of UV orange and blue knobs and x faders were available. Id buy 3 of each if they were

Yep we have had this problem! Lost the insert so we just swapped the knob for my cue / mix knob

All super glued down now!

I know this is sort of irrelevant at this point, but my black inserts were falling off...quite irritating if you ask me

yeah i do it for several reasons.. the main reason is to inject some seeds into my brain that can grow and let me give personality/machine connections/romance. Actually I cant really help myself... its been a running theme with everything I do ... comes from my past employment with Manipulating True Virtue Germany

Ordered a whole range of red knobs, from deep blood red to a lighter shade of red. Also some black knobs. Korg knobs are not compatible with the black vestax ones.

just put a tiny bit in the center of the groove... not even a drop... just enough to kind of get it wet... and then take the black strip.. feel or look for the little hook, and that goes facing inward and should be orientated at the top of the knob

When Im finished with this little project.. you may not want me to get anywhere near your gear. Im calling this mod the "Zombie CuthulhuTech Mod"
Im making it so each knob looks like its being ripped out of flesh with slithering ultra violence. Im not exaggerating either.

Decided that I needed more functionality to the knobs. So I started to add some neon, googly eyes and some bling. Each one will serve a purpose.
I have the knobs spread out onto xone 92, xone 2d , electribe SX, electribe MX, and Kaossilator pro and kp3 pro.

Any knob which represents LEVEL will always be white. Any fx send 1 will be green, any fx send 2 will be yellow. Both of these will be pure(unaltered)
any Envelop control with be the neon pink knobs.
So the white, green, yellow and pink knobs then will be modded with a drop of UV reactive paint either green, pink or orange. In addition i will add a googly eye, or any of 5 different colored rhinestones. This is a purely functional application to let me recognize the different knobs in lightening fast situations. From a FORM perspective it will look pretty wacked out. But Im more concerned with making good sounds and avoiding mistakes than having something pretty.

I glued all of mine to prevent from losing them.. I cant lose a split second based on how im djing/live sound. and if I cant tell where it is.. I tend not to want to make stupid mistakes like adding the wrong amount of modulation or cuttoff. And after some drinks and fumar, things tend to get a bit crazy.

Found someone in germany to send me some knobs... 2 euros shipping instead of 60 euros. Paypal makes life easy.
Krazy glue was a 3 dollar investment for the 6 fader/knob packs Ive already ordered from here. As long as you dont touch the black inserts otherwise youll be fine, or let anything in your bag brush up against it.. I just believe I must have gotten a funky batch.

I almost did till I saw the shipping cost... 60 euros seemed a bit extreme for a pack of 22 knobs and faders
I may have to get a friend in germany to buy them and send them.

Yeah the red ones look awesome on your xone DX

I didnt believe so either till it fell out... I then just slightly touched the other ones to see if they were the same.. and they all came out like some teeth out of a 50 year old sugar junkie. So one drop of krazy glue to be exact in the middle and put it back in. Now it is for me officially secure.
