Reply to Kontrol X1/ NI Layer/ Shift LED Brightness Issues

Okay I hope someone like Padi, or someone equally as savvy has run into this...

I have been using modifiers to send LED data for commands where it is difficult to do so otherwise...

But I ran into an interesting problem today.


For some reason, on the NI protocol layer, the Modifier "out" commands are only "half" lighting the corresponding buttons LED.


At first I thought my mapping wasn't working because I couldn't tell that it was getting brighter at all.

I have to turn the "off state" brightness on the X1 down to basically off to be able to see these LED's illuminate.

But EVERY single other type of LED command lights my buttons up just fine.


And it only happens when I'm on the shift layer of the NI protocol layer.


The basic layer, and all of the MIDI layer respond exactly as expected.


I actually just bought this second X1, and I'm beginning to believe it could be defective.
