APC40 Cue Response in Traktor
Posted on: 08.04.2011 by Marcela Allyn
When I press once a hotcue or cue it starts on beat with no issues. However, when I start to hit the cue buttons in rapid succession in a seemingly futile attempt to emulate the controllerism techniques used on the MIDI Fighter and the like, I get an unexpected result... Sometimes when I trigger the CUE the audio starts 1/16 before the beat and sometimes a bit after the beat.

Now, I am a bit new, and could be missing something very basic with cueing, but it doesn't seem right that the audio is starting at slightly different places ONLY when I start hitting the cues in rapid succesion.

Has anyone seen similar behavior? Is it potentially because of the increased MIDI traffic induced by using the default APC mapping instead of using 'dumb' mode? Any tips or suggestions are more then welcome, thanks in advance!

I second that.

Exactly....Quantize and Sync is whats making it only hit in time and not on your timing.

I'm mapping mine at the moment here

Finding a few oddities alright, if you have the LED's rings set up in bar mode everything seems pretty glitchy unless you really really reduce the latency. Pots stuttering, Cues slow etc..

Haven't seen cue jumping on this yet BUT I have seen it with my old hercules RMX when I engaged over 5 modifiers at the same time and some were set to override others.
