Hey guys, i have a qwerty keyboard, lots of them actually, and lots of mice(im a cisco systems engineer..lots of random parts haha) and im just wondering if keyboards have the ability to be converted into controllers? not mapping the keys, but using their internal hardware to make a controller.. and if there is do you know good threads you guys have to learn about it or..you know wherei can learn or find cool ideas? ive been browsin this community a ton but i cant find lots of stuff on using a keyboard, just game controllers..thanks guys!

Well the problem is if you plug in a USB keyboard to a laptop it does the same commands as the normal one.

Cisco systems? Networking engineer specifically?

If your good with electronics there was a guy selling a MIDI Box controller unbuilt on the community for pretty cheap not sure if its still for sale. But that might be something to look into. Also check out the MidiFighter and Lividinstruments.
