4 decks with 2 midifighter pros... Posted on: 26.05.2011 by Suzi Werrell I was hoping someone could help me. I am interested in running a 4 channel mixer and 2 midifighter pros controlling 4decks or 2decks/2 sample decks in traktor pro 2. Is this possible with mappings from dj ranking
s, and which midifighter pro models would suit my needs best if so? Hopefully someone can help me. Thank you - Joshimoto | |

Merry Piesik 26.05.2011 | @joshimoto I have a Behringher DDM400 in perfect condition I'd be willing to sell for a really fair price. I just got the S4 so i don't need the Behringher anymore. Honestly I love it especially for the price. Build quality is great for what I spent and I can't believe all of the features it has... Let me know if you're interested. I'm in Atlanta. Where are you? |

Gloria Lemmel 26.05.2011 | The Behringer DDM400 is good, but not fully USB integrated. If you're willing to spend a couple hundred more, go for the Denon X1600. Great mixer. Pretty much a club mixer for half of the price of a DJM-800. (Lol. The amount of times I've posted in the last hour about the X1600 and DDM400 is ridiculous. Like 5-6 times. Both great bangs for your buck.) |
Suzi Werrell 26.05.2011 | thank you for the help. your answer pretty much made up my mind so i believe im gonna order my midifighters very soon gotta decide on a mixer. I know pioneer is overpriced but i really like the new djm 900 and willing to pay for it any 4 channel mixer u would suggest? |
Gloria Lemmel 26.05.2011 | As none of us really have much insight into the Mappings so far, I believe that's a really hard question, but in terms of controlling the decks there are a multitude of options. You can go the effects route, which is very easy, simply download the current MF Instant Gratification or Deckalized Mapping, import it, duplicate it 4x, put decks A+C on the left MF and B+D on the right. With the other banks of the MFs you can download/make a custom cues/transports mapping (I have a few that I can supply) and do the same to those. In terms of fader usage, again, I have absolutely no clue, but if you need an answer right now, that's mine above. Download current mappings and specify them to your needs. There are also some very talented mappers both at DJ Tech Tools and on this community who can assist you. I'm sure that they would be more than happy to help you on this one. I'd shoot an email over to DJTT and see if they can provide any help. Having met a few members of the team, I can say that they were all very ready to help and they all were very nice. |
