What do YOU use Maschine for? Posted on: 31.05.2011 by Marya Romaine Just wondering what uses people are getting out of their maschine controller or mappings when in midi mode.I use mine in ableton to tap out beats, its such a world of difference than manually entering them with a mouse. Way easier to be creative and change things on the fly. I also have been using DJ Endos maschine mapping along side my MC6000 controller for cue points and effects. Also tried a mapping specifically for the sample decks, but the quality hasn't been that good with that mapping. Guessing I should learn how to do mappings.... | |

Breana Singerman 31.05.2011 | Yeah, and you can still have it show the notes in Stand alone mode |
Marya Romaine 31.05.2011 | I don't use it in standalone mode for making beats for ableton, I use the VST and have it show the midi notes in the ableton timeline. I guess I'm a visual person. So if you use it in standalone mode, are you exporting a WAV file to import into ableton? |
Breana Singerman 31.05.2011 | I use it for anything and everything. That pads feel right and the knobs are solid. I use it for making grooves in stand alone mode, and then I export those tracks and drop them into Ableton and finish off the track from there. And once I'm in Ableton I use it as a control surface for when I record automation. AND then I've incorporated it into my DJ rig as well too, I have Ableton routed in Traktor and and use it to make grooves there as well when playing out. Very useful and a lot of fun to use. |
