DIY FX Preset Buttons?
DIY FX Preset Buttons? Posted on: 15.06.2011 by Taisha Camou Just wondering, I know there are multiple tutorials here on how to build super faders/knobs but how can you make the four diy fx preset buttons that are on the new MF Pro? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated! | |

Taisha Camou 16.06.2011 | Thanks so much! Do you guys know of a tutorial on how to assemble the buttons and button pad with led's because I am new to this whole soldering thing. |

Marva Cupid 16.06.2011 | You can the midifighter has 4 digital inputs (buttons) and 4 analog (knobs faders) inputs. You can get the little rubber buttons that they used from spark fun, sorry can't post the link though I'm on my phone . |
Taisha Camou 16.06.2011 | So I guess I am asking a questions that involves both of your guy's original responses. |
Taisha Camou 16.06.2011 | Ya I was aiming for creating an extension to my midi fighter with one rotary potentiometer and two faders, like the beat masher, and I was wondering if i could add on the fx preset buttons as well. |
robin loo 16.06.2011 | oh. .so i didnt really get the question :P like mrpopinjay said, it's only a matter of changing the "effect select" commands in the controller manager, to whatever fx combo you want. @MrPopinjay: there are two MFpro mappings in the MF section. |
Kiyoko Wellisch 15.06.2011 | Well we've never seen the new midifighter mappings (I believe) so I don't know how they work. I assume that the buttons just set certain effects slots to certain effects so it's a matter of changing the effect being directly selected to whatever you had in mind. Easy enough. |

robin loo 15.06.2011 | what software? just map any button (midi controller or keyboard) to select effects on a certain bank. /edit: reread the question. you mean building four more buttons to your MF? if so: solder buttons (arcade or whatever) to the connections on the top left side of the MFs pcb. i believe you have to activate them in the menu mode. not sure about that. |
