Vestax Spin Cueing distortion
Posted on: 19.06.2011 by Chance Nugen
This seems to be a pretty common problem, but I can't find a solution. I'm driving myself nuts with this I assumed it'd work straight out the box.

Ok, so I have a vestax spin attached to a 27" imac running the latest version of Djay.

I'm using the internal speakers of the mac and sony v700 phones plugged into the spin.

I have the audio preferences set like this:

Main output: Built-in output
Pre-cueing: SPIN - CH3/4
Microphone: SPIN - CH1/2

Everytime I try and cue the sound through the phones is extremely distorted.

Am I missing something simple? Or is this a fault? It's driving me insane!!

Any help greatly appreciated before I chuck the effing thing against the wall!!!

The ch1-2 input is the input for the mic on the spin unit (see pic)
