Ean had the same problem when he was looking at making DIY controllers back in 2008 I seem to recall. It might have been because Ean was asking for some free samples to do a review? Dunno... but anyway, I've heard on other sites that the guy who runs that site is notoriously bad at replying to emails in a timely fashion lol...

Afaik, the site is up and running and he's still open for business. It's done with paypal so if nothing is shipped raise a paypal dispute?

because the 'X' is 12 bit-resolution and the connections are simple (no need matrix, no diodes).

anyway I have the same problem: Leo Bodnar does not answer emails and I don't know if BU0836 or BU0836X are still available.

thanks for replying.

all of his boards accept encoders I thought? just use the encoder utility

Thanks, I ended up buying the simple BU0836 but I'm sorry because I should have bought the BU0836A because the rotary encoders support.

Thing is, I'm a total noob in this and it's just for learning a lot so I guess it's not a big deal yet

it was a link to a thread where I suggest using an xbox joypad pcb...

and as far as I know, Leo Bodnar still sells his boards.
