Reply to Wireless PS2 Controller for basic controlling

Just a quick idea. I believe that it would be really cool to have a wireless PS2 controller (i have 4 downstairs in my PS2) and was wondering if i could somehow use that to control traktor at a basic level (so i wouldnt have to be behind the decks at a house party or similar + it would be really awesome)? I have seen people using HID to MIDI programs, and i assume that would still work with a wireless controller and adapter.

If all that could work - How do these HID to MIDI programs work. Would it need to be running in the background?
