Macbook Pro Help
Posted on: 30.07.2011 by Leesa Barer
So I just recently upgraded my laptop to a new Macbook Pro 15" (Booyah), and i need to sell off my old one. My problem here is I have absolutely no idea what it's worth or where to figure that out, so I figured I'd ask you guys. I have a few coworkers who are in need of a cheap laptop but i don't know how much to ask for it and I don't wanna seem like i'm trying to rip them off or get screwed over myself.

It's a 15" Macbook Pro with an 80GB hard drive, 2 GB of RAM, 2.0 GHZ Intel Core Duo, in good cosmetic shape, and it comes with literally every piece of packaging, cables, and manuals it came with. It was purchased in June of 2006.

I was guessing maybe the $300-$500 range but like I said, I really have no idea. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance!

I believe $400 would be a fair price and it should run Traktor fine. I might have bought it last week, but I've already spent all my extra money.

My 2003 iMac G4 still works a charm, just no USB 2.0 and is PowerPC based otherwise I'd still use that. Even has a really old version of Traktor DJ on it!

Epic, I'd never heard of that site before. Thanks a ton man! Haha yup, Mac > HP. My buddy and I just graduated college and he went through 3 HP's in that time while my Mac lasted all 5 years. Great machines.

This is only a rough price guide but useful to have bookmarked.

Saddens me that my MacBook Pro has lost 60% of it's value in 2 years... but it's still worth more USED than my mates brand new 15" HP lol.
