also thanks guys. i still cant decide though
Ok sure I'm only passively selling it since it's a solid bit of hardware and I don't mind having it. If I had to lay out the pros and cons of each:

Korg Padkontrol
Pros: XY Pad, Nice feel to pads, Pads light up
Cons: Not really as solid compared to MPDs (I've read some reviews and that was one of the reasons why I didn't buy one), Lacking faders and knobs (definitely another reason why I didn't buy one)

MPD 26
Pros: Solid construction, Has knobs and faders for more control
Cons: Crappy pads, Has 2 less knobs than MPD 24 for less control (this could be a dealbreaker if you want to experiment and use the MPD for more than just finger drumming), Also not sure but the MPD 24 transport controls send MMC messages instead of MIDI and this might be prone to the same problem but since it's an update over the 24, it might also have been fixed.

MPD 24 (With Custom Fat Pad Upgrade That I have done)

Pros: Nice feel to fat pads, 2 more knobs than the MPD 26, Solid construction like all MPDs, Red pads that look unique

Cons: Minor scratches near faders and small graze/chip on bottom corner (not visible unless unit is turned over), Transport controls send MMC messages(however I've heard that this is fixed with a firmware update but I don't use it since they're not really that useful anyway and most of the other controllers have the same transport controls)

had an extensive play with the padkontrol - really nice rubbery pads, feels pretty good
in fact better pads 100000000x than the shitty el cheapo korg nanoPAD2's that are way too stiff

havent tried the mpd yet so cant say anything bout it
