Highly portable controllers
Highly portable controllers Posted on: 13.09.2011 by Darcey Kinnett Hey guys. Basically I'm looking for really small/portable controller that could allow me to do some decent mixing during my daily uni travels haha. Basically I'm looking for something bus powered, that I can kind of shove in and out my bag without having to worry about it falling to bits. I was kinda leaning towards an X1, but just thought I'd check out all the possibilities with you you guys haha Thanks in advance, Harry | |

Caleb Fahnestock 20.09.2011 | if your doing gigs Laptop Launchpad soundcard wires good to go |
Breanne Penge 21.09.2011 | iphone / Android / TouchOSC. Uber small and portable. |
Kiyoko Wellisch 20.09.2011 | But no mixer section so you'd have to carry around a secondary controller. I'd get a korg nanokontrol if you're going cheap and one of the faderfox pieces if you want something quality. |
Emeline Coraggio 20.09.2011 | No one mentioned the Denon Sc2000?? Get 2 and youve got yourself 2 emulated and super portable cd-style midi decks |
Barton Rigazio 19.09.2011 | I'd say keep quality in mind as well. Here are my votes: Ultraportables: Faderfox, X1, Midi Fighter Pro, Trigger Finger, X-Session Pro Portables: Twitch, Kontrol S2, VCI-100 |

Chasidy Heckenbach 14.09.2011 | the dj2go is very cheap and portable but pretty limitting. i believe i'd prefer to just use a lpd8 instead which with my midimasher code gives u full 2 deck control with cues etc and also a twitch style slicer. i bought my icon idj for the same purpose, highly portable and can do everything. it's pretty small - tho bigger than the d2go and about 600g i believe, so not the lightest option. here's a photo with it compared to an lpd8 sizewise (knobs on both arent original): edit: if you don't mind a touch sensitive surface then the scs.3d is very small and light and cheap 2nd hand. it has awesome led feedback and is ideal to use with multiple layers. one of those could be setup to control as much as u needed. |
Mika Ciarlone 13.09.2011 | If you want to keep it cheap, go for the DJ2GO, if not an issue, my vote is for an NI kontrol X1, great machine. |
Asha Kravetz 13.09.2011 | Numark DJ2Go.. Hercules MP3e2, Icon I.dj are all super portable |
