Reply to Numark ns7 with Red/Blue vinyl and "Trip Matts"?

Hey, ive got a Ns7 and i want to get custom vinyl for it. I can only get red or blue because most the other stuff is to light and hurts preformance. So if im stuck with red or blue vinyl, the question is.... How transparent are they... I want to get some "trip mats", like the ones Q bert has and then cut them to fit the 7 inch vinyl. If i do this will the optical illusion still work even though your seeing much less of the slip mats and is the red/blue vinyl transparent enough that you can clearly see the trip mats.
