Mini Controllers
Mini Controllers Posted on: 20.12.2011 by Bulah Author Hey,Does anyone know of good mini / space saving controllers. I found these on-line and thought they looked kind of cool and wanted to know if anyone has any comments about "DJ Tech Pro" stuff or any other cool controllers: http://www.djtechpro.com/product.asp...subcate_id=135 I own a Novation Nocturn which is pretty cool too. I found these and I thought they'd be cool to have for practising at home or doing demos. I have a baby on the way so making space for baby stuff Decks are going down to my dad so I'll only be using DVS when I play out, but would like something kewl to play around with if I get some spare time. Also I'm a long time torq user. I haven't seen much Torq support so I thought I'd put it out there in case anyone asks. Cheers Nelson | |

Filters, those 12 buttons at the front.... mmm, nice... if only it had a few more buttons - other than that 2x12 grid, there isn't much for fx sends, loops etc. Jogwheels not having touch sensitivity (I believe) isn't great, but they would happily scrub through tracks (which is my main use), but couldn't do jog-fx activated by touch (a la Ean). With the denon it can be a little frustrating to switch between the 2layers. i had an eks otus before so experienced that. my work flow is now much smoother. |
Odis Stirewalt 20.12.2011 | when you say they have a 14bit midi res, that sounds good for this price. but i haven't ever touched one with my own fingers so i don't know what i can say about the material/feeling. i was considering the cdj101 besides the denon sc2000 and NI x1, and took then the X1 because NI had an offer with an free traktor2PRO, .... now i recognized that i don't like djing without jogwheel (because i am too lazy to grid all my songs proper xD) and search for someone who want's to take my X1 with the traktor2LE it came with so i have the money to buy an SC2000 and can keep the free traktor2pro that came with the X1 ;D (since it came with an t2LE and another t2pro license ;D) |
Bulah Author 20.12.2011 | I'm in Ireland and we have Maplin's here too I'll see what they have when I go into town this week. Thanks |

Bulah Author 20.12.2011 | Yeah, that's great thanks. I wasn't expecting major quality because from the pricing they seem fairly cheap (big plus for me at the moment ). But if the jogs feel strong that's great news. I had read about the 14bit faders. I'll have to look into how to get that working in Torq. That would be very good to have. Not a big deal as I've played with the nocturn and changed the pitch to +/- 4 and that was pretty accurate but doesn't give much room for some tracks that are a little slower or faster... Thanks for the reply. I'll be looking into those in the new year once the decks are gone... |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 20.12.2011 | Hi I own the cdj 101 and djm 101. both are great. cdj 101 got 14bit resolution on pitch fader and the wheels which are metal and fairly heavy are just awsome(no problem beatmatching). the mixer is spot on and does exactley what you need it to do, maybe a litlle plasticky but still good. the traktor tsi they provide works great to. I'm sure you could map them easily with torq. yeah dj tech stuff does not get much love on this community , from the few products i've come across, they were good for value. hope that helps |
