Out of curiosity who would be open to purchasing this custom MIDI controller?
Me and a friend will be designing and building this beast for our own use. However we would like to know if anybody would be interested in buying one and how much you would want to buy it for if we decided to build a few for some lucky controllerists. One of us is employed by panasonic as a programmer so we may be coding some software to go along with it to customize it to your liking.

We are aiming to get the HDD to work with traktor as a third deck. If you aren't already familiar with the idea, many have used HDD's successfully as midi controllers. Please excuse the crudeness of this photo as it is was made in ms paint and its purpose is to simply to demonstrate the layout.

We have decided a 6x8 grid of sanwa switches would be most useful for both a DAW and traktor. You could be able to use it as a step sequencer very nicely with a pentatonic scale including the octave which would amount to 6 notes. We are planning on giving this two different colors of lights per sanwa switch to indicate the status of the buttons.

We also aim to integrate 4 touch strips that you can see up at the top in between the joysticks. The lower crossfaders and preset buttons are rather self explanatory as they will function similar to the beat masher pro. The "super knob" will also be a push pot with a led ring around it if can manage the programming.

The aim of this device is to be used and work with Traktor and any DAW of your choice.

Any further suggestions for this design would be much appreciated!
