cdjs

hey guys im looking for some tips on getting into cdjs.. i played a gig at a club last week and i loved the feel of them and how i didn't have to use a laptop at all. plus i want to move into more of a pro set up then using midi controllers.
i played on pio cdj2000s with the djm 2000 mixer which i understand are the top of the line- but im looking at 1000s or even 950s with the matching mixer. the system is going to stay in the studio since most clubs already have them built in unless i plan to do an event that dosnt have them. my budget is about 3500 for the whole set up
my questions are
what do u guys believe? are there other set ups i should check out? i would prefer to not spend 3500 but i want something that will last me a while and still not be outdated.. let me know what you guys believe and some things i should look into. also if i went with 4 cdj 400s and a djm 900 4 channel mixer woould i still be able to easily transition to a higher level cdj?
thanks

Good deal! The only thing you might regret later down the line is perhaps if you want a Traktor certified mixer.. Which the 900 is. But choosing the 2000s over the 900s is a good investment.

For 3500 you could get a top end set up basically..

You can have any set up you want really, but i would stick to Pioneers top end stuff if you liked the quality and feel for them. But you may have to buy second hand if you were to buy 2 CDJ2000s and a DJM2000 for example..
