Reply to I need some help with rotary midi control for Traktor Scratch Pro & BCR 2000

Hello,
I have just agreed to buy Traktor Scratch Pro with an Audio 8, I plan to use this with a my 2 Technics 1200's and my 2 CD decks... I have a standard 3 channel mixer that doesn't have midi control so I started believeing that I might as well get a midi controller that will control the effects inside Traktor, the question is how to go about it???

I have to do this on a budget as the Mrs is already going mad about how much I've spent so I thought the BCR 2000 would be good for the job. I've looked about on the web & watched videos on Youtube but it seems that all those who have one use the BCR on it's own to control Traktor and nothing else.

Before I buy one, I just want to make sure that there will be no issues with using timecode vinyl and CD's whilst simultaneously using a Behringer BCR 2000 to control the effects, also is the mapping process simple enough???

I'm just moving into this kind of DJ'ing after doing it the normal way for nearly 20 years, so it's pretty daunting and I need to make sure I get the right gear that I'm going to be happy with.
