Replacing the Tweeters in my PA Speakers
Posted on: 23.01.2012 by Masako Barcalow
Hey all,

Normally I'm pretty good with replacing my sound components, but I've run into a bit of a problem, mainly due to lack of information on the particular component. I have 2 Phonic S710 PA speakers (tiny little things, hate gigging with em but they do the job for house parties) and one of the tweeters has blown out. Now I've never gone about replacing the tweeter (woofers have been re-done, good on that), is it similar to replacing the woofer (i.e. match wattage/impedance/etc)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know if this helps, but http://www.speakerrepair.com has many parts and helpful salespeople too. The prices are pretty good too. I do not work for nor am I related to or friends with any of them. They just helped me replace diaphrams on some JBLs last year though.
