Hey guys i need some help choosing a midi keyboard. I'm in college and i need something thats portible. I need something that has 8 encoders, pitch/mod wheels, 25 keys, light-weight and can fit in my bookbag with room for books.

It has what I need plus drumpads. I was believeing of this or the original V1 Oxygen 8 controller. On is cheaper one has more crap.

afaik the oxygen8 doesn't have any encoders anyway - only pots. you should be able to edit the oxygen8 mapping to fit something like the akai mpkmini - or even easier change what CC's etc are sent out from the mpkmini via the akai controller editor to match the oxy8. tho the mkpmini doesn't have any pitchbend/mod wheels.

you can change what gets sent out from a nocturn via automap afaik - you'd need to import a 2nd copy of the oxy8 mapping and attach to the lpk25 if u went for that approach to get the functionality of the keys.

I have a novation keyboard. it's awesome and the keys feel really really good compared to some of the other brands.
