Whats wrong with xone dx? Posted on: 03.02.2012 by Hazel Oeschger I was wondering the other day that xone dx has all the essential things that a quality controller needs, yet it was dropped due to low sales. Besides non-touch sensitive platters I can't believe of any reason not to get it, in fact I have one and I'm still in love with its feel. So why did it not sell? Too little flashy lights? | |

Verlene Geevarghese 04.02.2012 | There have been a few with an output issue, but A&H are taking care of it for those who are having the problem. I believe the high price point at the onset (~1200+) and the issues with the version of Itch that it released with, killed this thing before it got started. So they stopped making them and are trying to dump the stock. Serato has said that they will continue to support the controller though, so if that was your issue, you needn't worry about that. |

Juliette Vensel 04.02.2012 | Market flooded with controllers, I just figure A&H felt their expertise could be better served elsewhere. It seems that with the K2 and DB2/DB4 that the future for them is in modular controllers and digital mixers with killer studio efx. The mixers are fully mappable as well. I like the DX - one of the first 4-deck controllers. It has the build quality and sound reputation from its maker. I wish it had an analog mixer with some filter options. Even at the current price drop, it is still tough to justify buying in light of the current S2 price drop. Are you running your with Itch or TP2? |
