Custom building an MPD26

Hello Controller scientists,

I've been dancing with the idea of replacing my MPD's pads with arcade buttons. However, would that get rid of the touch sensitivity? I've convinced my self that it wouldn't affect that, but I guess I'm looking for reassurance.

Also, has anyone undertaken a project like this? This will be my first controller mod so any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Yes, if you replace the velocity sensitive pads with arcade buttons, you'll lose velocity control. Think about it, buttons are momentary on/off switches. How can they detect velocity?

you will lose the touch sensitivity if you do.
