Take a red box, some buttons, knobs and we have.... Posted on: 29.03.2012 by Julius Schoenhofer ...my first shot at making a custom controller.Made for tweaking parameters in Ableton One mapping I did used the rocker switch as a crossfader in Ableton to switch between two different synths while the knobs controlled LFOs on each. I wanna film it in action once I put a little demo track together. | |
Julius Schoenhofer 06.04.2012 | Thanks for the compliments guys, glad you like it! I got to try the thing out live when playing a gig last evening , and I shot a not so great quality video, but you can get the idea of what it does. I overlaid the mix recording with the live footage so you get some live/crowd ambience while still getting the audio quality of the recording. I had it mapped as follows: Buttons 1. Beatmasher 1 (+ turn on filters) 2. Beatmasher 2 (+ turn on filters) 3. Gater (+ turn on filters) 4. HUGE reverb As you can tell it's a MIDI fighter style FX macro mapping for the buttons. Knobs (Switch position 1) 1. Dry Wet 1 2. Dry Wet 2 (Switch position 2) 1. Filter 1 2. Filter 2 Here's the video, enjoy:
