User customizable fader fx modules!!!
User customizable fader fx modules!!! Posted on: 03.05.2012 by Inger Glubka So i was making an edit to my Collision mapping last evening
, and stumbled upon an interesting idea. I had mapped out Ean Golden's Fader Fx mode to the volume fader of deck A. As i moved the fader each of the FX would turn on and each FX amount would change. I set the first FX to move 98% of the full range, 75% on the second, and 35% on the third. Next, i was going to assign groups of FX and initial amounts for each FX. That way i could load up pre-made combinations, just like Mr. Golden. But then i made a discovery... I started changing around FX as i used the FADER FX module. Then i started changing the initial amounts for each FX to allow the Fader to reach different ranges of values. WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!! So now instead of being given cookie cutter groups of FX, each user can find what works the best with their own style. Here is the question. Is this a good thing? Is this something that users could learn to operate in a club setting, or is it too complicated/ risky? Let me know what you believe! | |

Inger Glubka 03.05.2012 | I just added it to version 0.6.0 of my Collision mapping. Its posted in the Maps page. The Manual will show you where the Fader FX is located. To change the Fader FX setting simply adjust the effects knobs while Fader FX mode is active. Let me know what you THINK!!! |
Lilliana Perris 03.05.2012 | Yo! Sounds good to me! How did you map the fader FX on the APC? SHOW ME!!!! |
