Vernon Positano 17.06.2012 | the real issue is the cable length. RCA is unbalanced, which means it can pick up external noise, and this is more likely the longer it travels. However, given that most RCA cables are used to connect devices like turntables, cdj's or sound cards to mixers, they shouldn't have far to travel at all. Most decent mixers then have balanced XLR outputs that might run to a stack of amps further away, or to powered speakers. |
Natalia Bucko 17.06.2012 | for all intents ad purposes, they're all exactly the same. There's a pretty well-known case where someone tested a $1000 cable versus a coat hanger, and they sounded pretty close. |
Nedra Fresneda 16.06.2012 | Whatever you do, don't buy monster cables. Scout the community s, there is plenty of information on the subject. |
Lauran Funch 16.06.2012 | what's the best rca cables? is there a popular company that makes rca? |
Brunilda Kora 16.06.2012 | There's a lot of debate. You can buy cables CALLED hi-Q, but the actual performance increase is negligible. They usually LOOK much higher quality, and have nicer connectors, though... Re: longer cables - that probably depends on what you mean by long. 3m is longer than 1m, but won't make a whole lot of difference. But 30M is much longer, and, well, MAY make a difference. Mostapha will be along soon.... |
