Vinyl Mode Not Working with Vestax VCI-400 in Traktor Scratch Pro 2 I can't seem to get "vinyl mode" to work on my Vestax VCI-400. I'm running it on Traktor Scratch Pro 2.5. I have updated the firmware to version 2 on the controller and loaded the traktor mapping from Vestax's website for v2. Traktor is reading it okay, but when I press the "vinyl" button it doesn't change anything with the platter. It still functions in the "CDJ" mode where you can't scratch or cue with the platter. All I can do is simply speed up or slow down the pitch. Also, I believe there is supposed to be a red LED light that comes on when the platter is pressed and this doesn't happen either. I've messed with the platter sensitivity knob and nothing changes. I even sent the 1st unit back to exchange, as the Vestax guy thought I had a faulty unit, but the new one functions exactly the same. This is my first contoller, as I've been using CDJs for the last 5 or 6 years so I'm fairly new to the midi mapping stuff. I'm not sure if there is something in the Traktor settings or in the mapping that would keep it from allowing scratch/vinyl mode. I even tried using it with Serato Intro and scratching still won't work in there. Has anyone had a similar issue? Any ideas on settings in Traktor that might keep this from working? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!! | |
