TMA's will probably be the winner. Everyone complains about the style tho, I personally like the retroish look over the bulky, puffy DJ looking cans.

anyone know where they sell the fool's gold edition?

Reloop RHP-10, cool colors, not the strongest of them all, but great sound and they fit nicely, had them for some time but they eventually broke. Didn't regret it for a moment though

The technics RP-DH1200's are good, had mine for 4 years before the right hand driver stopped working (No sound).....took them apart and replaced the whole wire that connects the two drivers (common fault that the wire gets chaffed and shorts the right driver), the fix lasted 6 months then same happened again, so i took drivers out and put them in my cheapo set of citronic HP500 pros and now they sound better than original technics.....i also have 2 pairs of AKG K181dj which i personally believe are far superior to the technics build quality and sound quality wise.

I'm a fan of on ear headphones so TMA 1's get my vote, I love the understated matt black finish and they feel really durable and comfortable. You can't go wrong with HD25's either. If I was you I would go to a DJ store and try both of these.

I had a gig the other evening and all the djs before me where using hdj 500's and I was using 2000's I got the biggest death stares then one guy said "your pathetic why would you pay $350 for headphones and I responded cause I care about the sound then I stroked my headphones while I was saying it" FUNNIEST MOMENT EVER

But if you're in the market for a substitute, the RP-DJ1200, the HD25SP, the K181DJ HDJ500 are pretty decent

Agreed. I would have recommended these as well except they're WAY out of his price range.

Oh did I mention they may well outlive your DJ career, super durable and worth getting the Beyerdynamic velour cushions btw as an add-on, the ones that come with them wear out in ... ohhh 8 years or so.
Well, they are good headphones (I had the 7506 for a good while), no disputing that. If they sell the V6 (which are - as I understand - the same as the 7506s just branded for consumers rather than professionals) in your country, by all means, go for them. In Germany they don't, and with a price of 120

Sennheiser HD-280 Pro Headphones.

Great headphones. Great price. Perfect price for you.

*EDIT* Well they're just under $100 U.S. currency. Don't know what that means for pounds.

I would suggest HD25 but try them first on your head! Some don't like the way they stand on their heads...

You really should save up for thoses recomanded as cheep models brake easy. There is a big diferenc between how you use DJ headphones and regular once. When you listen to music you put on the headphone and they stay on. While you DJ you put them on and take them of 100 times a evening . Cheeper headphones are not made to be handeled the same way as DJ headphones.
There might be some not that expensive headphone that are well constructed. They can be made out of plastice but have good look at them to see if they might break easyly before making your desission. Buying cheep often means buying severla times.
