Looking for a portable, budget, controller.
Looking for a portable, budget, controller. Posted on: 15.08.2012 by Jeraldine Raterink Hi.I'm looking for a basic ipod mixer that isn't numark. Just something very entry level, some basic effects, two decks. Everything you'd expect on a mixer. It's for a friend, they literally just want something to bring in the car or whatever, plug their headphones and ipod into, and mess around. ...suggestions? | |

A usb drive based controller would probably be a better bet than restricting yourself to an ipod one given the low price of USB drives and low availability of a decent ipod mixer. Tobi Rabuse 15.08.2012 | You want to many features in a product considering what you actually want the product for. My final suggestion, invest in Traktor and a proper controller. |

Max budget is about 300, and i don't like that particular dj tech mixer due to lack of touch sensative jogs.
I was looking at suggesting the i-mix reload mk 2. |
Yong Aptekar 14.08.2012 | I'm confused. - you want a mixer to mix between 1 ipod, or 2? - you want touch sensitive jogs - do you want to use a laptop? If so, why ipods and not music on the lappy? - are you looking for usb power? Or do you have a power outlet for the car? |

Shonda Soulier 15.08.2012 | edit: I originally put the DJ-Tech iDance Zero but I read that you can't play two songs from the same iPod. That's not what you want. Can I ask why not Numark? the iDJ2 looks pretty good and it allows you to play two songs from the same iPod. |
Tobi Rabuse 15.08.2012 | Not exactly my cup of tea looking for an iPod Mixer but here are my suggestions... - iRig - DJ Tech 2 They seem to be the most popular and seem to be the best looking iPod Controllers on the market, but there are others. Google is your friend. |
