Reply to Pioneers, but which ones?

So I'm about ready to take the plunge, sell my s4, and upgrade to the bigguns - pioneer mixer+decks.

There are a lot of models, can anyone with experience tell me which model is a necessary minimum and what the advantages of the 2000 are versus the older ones?
