Limited Edition White APC 40's are coming... and they are sexyyyyyyyyyy Posted on: 05.09.2012 by Chance Clum Hey guys, this is my first post to the community s, but I have been browsing reading Ean's articles, and other posts on the DJTT community s here for about the 2 years I've been spinning, but until today I had nothing worth sharing really. If this seems fake I am more than happy to post video of this, because about a half hour of browsing google, and various community s I couldn't find anything about these, but guitar center had 2 limited edition white apc 40's in our city yesterday. A good friend and dj from the local EDM event company (www.facebook.com/arkevents) that I helped co-found about six months ago picked one up on labor day. I had been planning on buying a black APC for a while, but seeing this limited one I had to bite the bullet. It has white plastic sides and a metal chassis around the knobs and faders, and is painted a pearlescent white (like an axiom pro). He said akai told him nothing as to how limited it is, but he said he could order more. Here are some pics, I'd love to see what everyone's thoughts are

They match my White Beats Pro also. SEXXXXYYYYYYYYY The buttons feel softer and the channel volumes feel more solid. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Sexy piece of equiptment! I agree, Akai was very on point with the materials and workmanship of the unit because white can be super cheesy if it isn't done right. It really does look quite different, somehow just more polished and refined than the regular black one that I borrowed from a friend over the summer. I believe the pearl paint gives it a fit and finish and that is what's making me feel that way. Either way good job Akai on a cool special edition, the more I use it the more I like it.

Chance Clum 22.09.2012	I have yet to try and use the APC live (I have only explored ableton as a production tool to this point), but I would imagine that it is easier to work on than the black one. I may try and do an ableton set at a small gig in the future, and I will let you know.
Doyle Lappas 18.09.2012	These are official Akai LE editions - there will probably be 500 made (like the white Mixtrack Pro) as the allowance for the north of the UK alone is 50 units so 500 would make sense globally. We have a batch of these coming into our store, as will most other retailers - but im sure they will shift fast The units themselves seem alot easier to use in white especially in low light conditions
