Maschine VS F1
Maschine VS F1 Posted on: 10.08.2012 by Malcom Koelzer Hello TechsIm wondering about which one is more powerful and effective to play samples and beats on top of my mix. Is it SYNC Maschine or Remix Decks with F1...? whats your thoughts on this...? Also please tell me which sound card is good between Xone 4D and Audio 8 or 10? many thanks.... | |

Charlyn Molera 02.11.2012 | I've made a new tutorial and I made a simple to use program to map every controller to it. |

Kasandra Kreindler 14.08.2012 | So far the only way to use the remix decks to their full potential is to own the F1 to control them, if you have maschine setup to use remix decks they will act like sample decks (4 slots vs. 16) Remix decks have not been officially unlocked for other devices, this is the same situation im in, wanting to use remix decks as well as a step sequencer of the maschine for drum loops and such, but i have a feeling they are coming out with a new maschine sometime within the next year me believes, so i might just pick up a F1 and wait for my production style side of my setup until the new hotness comes out |

If your audio interface has the inputs, you can pretty easily then route Traktor decks over into to Maschine for sampling. Get good with the controller and you barely ever need to look at the Maschine software on screen. It's pretty quick to slice a recorded loop out of from Traktor and automap it to the 4x4 pads. From there you can play the pads live as you want, remixing the groove on the fly, or you can switch over to the step sequencer to just say, keep the snare of that loop going in the background right on the beat long after you've mixed out of that track into something else. Well, that's how i use it at least I'm surprised the other DJs using Maschine in clubs like Dubfire and Liebing only seem to use it to add sequenced samples to their loop-heavy traktor sets. |

Malcom Koelzer 11.08.2012 | if i need the Step Sequencer thing then its only have in Maschine i believe...? |
Ashanti Andreacchio 10.08.2012 | they bouth can work in verry similar ways. It all come down to if you want to just play samples or you want to make some music on your own. If only sample triggering then go F1 now with 2.5.1 oneshots can ignore quantiz so no problem playing some drumming on the remix decks. If you want to make some music like play your own bass/synth line ontop of your mixes then Maschine is better. I have 2 F1's and a micro Maschine and I use the F1 for remix decks and micro for drumming and playing melodies. You can make some loops in maschine and export them into remix decks then use the Maschine to add melodies I also have a synthstation25 hooked up to the mashine software witch makes it musch easier to play real melodies. |
