Reply to Square Button Size & Source?

I'm in the process of designing a rackmount controller to go with a VST I am building right now and I'm having a bit of trouble finding buttons for it. I'm looking for 1/2" square buttons similar to what you'd have on a controller for things like bank switch etc. Now I can find the ones like for my Akai, but I'm not to keen on buying them from replacement part sellers for like $8 a piece (especially since this is a BIG VST, so each controller needs like 50 of these and I'm building 2 to start). Normally I would china source these but I can't seem to find any around this size. Any help would be appreciated.
