Reply to GIG ON THURSDAY! PA STOLEN! Tips for new system?? Going to buy today!

Hey guys,

This is kind of last minute, but I'd really appreciate some help.

My previous speaker+sub setup was stolen out of my friend's truck last evening . Unfortunate, but not much I can do about it now.

So...

I'm looking to buy a new system. Budget is around $1000 (not limited to that amount tho). I'm looking to buy locally so the closest thing to me (50 miles) is a guitar center in Killeen, TX.

Ideally I'd like to get active speakers and not mess with a new amp.

Here's a speaker and a sub I was considering.

Thoughts?

I play bass-heavy music, a mix of indoor/outdoor gigs, around 200 people generally, nothing where top notch sound quality is required.

I'm hoping to pick up a new system today so I can have it ready by wednesday evening .
