Best DJ mixer with USB Soundcard?
Posted on: 16.04.2013 by Norbert Thysell
I'm looking to upgrade my DJM400 to a 3+ channel mixer. I just use it along with an X1 and traktor but I've been wanting to get a remix deck or ableton channel going.

Anyways I just wondered if anyone had any USB mixer recommendations?

That NOX303 looks alright, pretty no-nonsense mixer - but I can't find the soundcard specs for it which is worrying, and no channel filters and the effects look pretty weak. On the other end of the spectrum is the DJM750 or the XONE DB2 - that's kind of my limit in terms of price - but again, dedicated channel filters...

Thoughts??

For the price of that mixer you could get a refurbished Pioneer DJM T1 that is Traktor certified so you won't need to use some Traktor crack with it, cause after all that mixer is just a knock off of the Pioneer anyways.......

Doesn't the NOX 303 provide him that? You can connect 3 ins and then sound out via the XLR out?
The 303 has only a Record out for Traktor! You still need to attach a Traktor Certified sound card.

The idea was not to find any mixer that has the words "sound card" on the spec list, but rather to find a decent mixer with a built-in interface thereby removing the need for an additional sound card.
Yea. I'm stupid.

Just realized the goal lol. I was still believeing internal mixing...

Looks like the DJM T1 might be getting discontinued now, so grab one before they disappear if you're interested.

Just to ask you, is the XONE 4D only ANALOG mixer with 4ch soundcard built in?

Voxoa M70 might be an option if you want something a bit more affordable too.

depending on your budget, i would recommend either the DJM-850 or DN-X1600

A sound card with 1 output is pretty useless for mixing.

I found the Xone DB2, new, for 850€ + shipping. Can't turn that up!!

I should be clear that it's used. But, still. They sell for $800 - $1000 on eBay all day long, and seems to be a hell of a mixer without having to pay the "Pioneer tax".

Was believeing about an 850 for a while, but meh.

I found out about the NOX and Gemini lines shortly before I saw your post hellnegative. I knew a price of $2-300 was too good to be true! For the price of the DNX1600, I'd much rather go with the soon-to-be DJM750 - effects, layout, (looks). The real question is whether I can afford to go the extra mile for the DB2 or 850 in terms of cash cause that would be the dream.

Really just need to wait for the 750 to come out to give it a try, and then weigh it against an 850 or DB2. The other thing a mate recommended me is the Z2 because it's so much cheaper and would let me route remix decks out the master still - but I can't help but believe a Pioneer or Allen & Heath mixer would be a better investment...

The DJM 850 gives you channel filters along with a Traktor certified sound card - I'm guessing the 900 is way out of reach.

Well it depend on what you're looking for I mean I can't say much because you really have to touch the mixers yourself. It's best to either get a list or put one together and do your homework. Get some advices or suggestion on each mixers you're looking at. Look at the reviews on them but don't make that your finally decision, anyone can tell you one mixer is better than that mixer.

You mention three channels haved you looked at Behringer VMX300 USB, Gemini Gemini PS-626USB?
You may want to get 4 channels instead.
