Janell Selser 02.06.2011 | I used to miss record stores untill they started opening up all around my area and cleaning out my local thrift store vinyl stock . http://www.ocweekly.com/slideshow/we...ords-33210471/ Now the hipsters are charging $20 for the records that I was picking up for 99 cent's a couple of months ago. Oh well it will die out again soon... |

Vida Shult 01.06.2011 | Virtually all EDM starts in naughts and ones these days, so the purest form you could get that music would be in .aif Try and get that in a record shop? ---------------------------------------- You know nearing 40 sometimes makes me chuckle at the die hard vinylists. Had some lad wave a bit of plastic in my face the other day and ask if I wanted to hear this crazy new Techno track. "No" I said. "Why not?" he frowned "Because it's not 1992." |

Dorcas Bassignani 01.06.2011 | n'ah i got love for the older stuff from them guys, but i was trying to get into breaks to, made it difficult when it was the dark days of htfr having a shoddy system for previewing tracks online... |

(not just in EDM stores either.. i had an independent cd/vinyl retailer i used to frequent that would always have garage, rockabilly, psychobilly, country, dub stuff put away for me to preview) |

Debrah Arnaout 01.06.2011 | a record shop just opened up a few months ago near me in Poughkeepsie, NY. Its pretty awesome to finally go digging. |

Lisa Lochotzki 31.05.2011 | I know what you mean, all good point, but still ... I like the Idea to have an exclusive and/or hard to find track on hand... kinda warm feeling inside to be unique... f*ck I'm so special after all LMFAO! |

Leeanna Ayla 31.05.2011 | There's a pretty good one about an hour from me, but I don't go very often anymore. |

Lisa Lochotzki 31.05.2011 | Not that I miss the record store, I still go to, the thing I miss is the Exclusive release you could have in really few copy... kind of cool battle between DJ for a record. Now you can have everything, and on the top of it please Kill the f*ckin a55hole who've created Shazam & app like that. Even my grandmother can know now the track i'm playing. It sucks to spend loads of hour to find/discover tracks and then a young a55hole show you the track ID then download it for free 'cause he just don't care about music and all. It sucks! |

Dana Ordinario 31.05.2011 | I miss them also, the last one around here closed just a few months back. I managed to get a steal on anything he had left in stock which was nice but it won't bring back that feeling of hunting for those lost gems. |
Melia Balvaneda 31.05.2011 | i don't...... cause i have one a few blocks from my house been going there since i was about 12 or 13 years old, but i am gonna be sad once i move.. especially if there is no record store where im moving too! nothing like looking through crates of weird music for an hour, then buying a few because they have cool album art, and finding out that only one of the records is worth listening too haha |
Nisha Latkowski 31.05.2011 | I still buy records on a weekly basis. Thank God for Record Surplus and Amoeba Records...and Discogs. |
