To my mind the fiercest voice of the Nineties was Layne Staley, his voice reminds me of Ray Charles - not to say he sounds like him, more the way he "growls" the notes...it's a fucking shame that he never sang in a blues band.

Yeah Mike Patton is the business, very unconventional voice. And possibly the most creative person ever I knew about Faith No More from my youth, I'd heard Mr Bungle, but a few years ago my buddy turned me on to Tomahawk and that shit is phenomenal...
