So I'm Getting Married Next Month... Posted on: 11.08.2011 by Lucrecia Diloreto So yeah, i'm getting married next month and I was believeing for my reception i wanted to do something a bit um...different. Most people hire a dj, and play the usual rock, r&b, country and other songs that everyone knows. Me on the other hand...im not really into all that stuff. I do like some of the music, but of course my passion is EDM. So i thought about having some trance/house/dnb played at my reception, but that would just not work out with the people that are going. its such a mix of people that just wont "get it"... They will probably hate the music and not have a good time. So i came up with the brilliant idea of having Acoustic versions of popular (and unpopular) trance tracks! Found quite a bit on Beatport, so i did do alot of searching before any of you guys believe that im just being lazy and asking you guys to do searching for me lol. I have about 20 tracks in my hold bin that will be played. I also found some good piano versions of some tracks. I was wondering if you guys could help me out by giving me some suggestions for some nice piano/acoustic versions of songs. doesnt have to be trance in particular, could be drum & bass or dubstep. i unno... Would be nice to have a whole playlist like that where people wont freak out because its "rave" music, but it will still keep that flavour and only me and my wife will know this music! | |

Lucrecia Diloreto 17.08.2011 | Thank you for all the kind comments, (sorry for late reply, i was on vacation). I checked out a few things on here, but only really felt like some of it was fitting what i was looking for. I did find the Skrillex Scary Monsters/sprites Piano Cover! =D I also found alot of good acoustic mixes of trance tracks, including Vanilla by TyDi, that was one of my fave finds by far. im still open to suggestions if you guys could help me, i have about 1 more week to find music. |
Danae Dumler 14.08.2011 | Pretty much anything on this channel http://www.youtube.com/user/summerj0711 ... I'm partial to the Skrillex stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTkekbcEVtI |

Janell Selser 12.08.2011 | I gotta say that it's nice to see an "I'm getting married thread" that's not filled with "NOOoooo!" or "Run for your life!" type of comments. I've been with the same women going on 20 years now and couldn't be happier, so congrats and good luck with the wedding. |

Lucrecia Diloreto 12.08.2011 | Thank you guys for the congrats! =D i'm excited. padi_04, That was a GREAT suggestion! some of those orchestra remakes are awesome! (very much the kind of thing im looking for). @ Zaniac, that was one of my favourite songs for a long while, wish i could play that but im sure it wont go too well with the old crowd there. =( @ bartboy. I want to avoid getting a dj, first of all. second, alot of these people are older crowd who arent into top 40 or dance music at all. this is a kinda uptight babtist wedding. lol. we cant even drink. =O!!! but hey, cant complain, i aint payin for it. |
Dana Ordinario 11.08.2011 | Why not just have a top40 style dj play remixes mixed in with some personal favorites. Also congrats. |
Deeann Cheron 11.08.2011 | Congratulations. I got married last X'mas & it was one of the best days of my life. This was our 1st dance song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlEgmNBPXMk |

Nerissa Lampropoulos 11.08.2011 | I Think I like It - Fake Blood Not piano nor acoustic, but it is a great song that I believe a lot of people would really enjoy. |
