iPhone 4S or Droid Bionic Posted on: 04.10.2011 by Laquita Coduto Just curious what the consensus is? I am due for an upgrade. As a mac user I am leaning toward the iPhone, but I have been relatively happy with my first gen droid. What due the tech wizards have to say? | |

Kassandra Guthmiller 14.10.2011 | I am quite disappointed with apple. Samsung's Galaxy S2 came out in May, I'm pretty sure that the specifications would have been available for quite some time before that however. The new iPhone specifications were damn near similar to that of the Galaxy S2. Apple would have had a very long time to "one over" Samsung, but they failed. They released a phone that was completely similar in specification to a phone that had already been on the market for six months. The way look at it is this: if you want an overpriced, overhyped, fashion statement version of the Galaxy S2 - GET AN iPHONE - But, it you want a good, decent phone that actually does whatever you want, without the mountain of fanboys to come with it - GET THE GALAXY S2 |

Matthew Yanagisawa 08.10.2011 | From experience I would go with the IPhone. You see, Android can do a lot of customization but for a phone that simply works and has everything accesible and is reliable, I prefer iOS. I have a programmer friend and hates Android with the heat of a 1000 suns. Theres a story that to configure his blue tooth headset to hear music and when a call enters it stop the music and call enters and then resume when call is over. Standard on iOS, but android he had to go thru a lot of apps and configure a bunch of things and never quite worked. He already preordeder an Iphone 4S. I came from a POS Blackjack 2 (old Windows mobile shit) to an Iphone 3GS and it was like evening and day. Still have my 3GS but dunno if I'll upgrade to 4S since my 3GS has worked SO well.... |

Tatum Ansaldo 07.10.2011 | I'll be getting a 4S as soon as they ship, my contract's up and my current blackberry's a piece of shit. Personally I'm quite happy with the recent upgrade, obviously there'll be a 5 this time next year but I need a new phone NOW so there's no point complaining. The fact that iCloud is free is a big bonus as well IMO. |

A new batch of rumored specs have surfaced over on GSM Arena, and these seem to be more in line with what we'd expect of a new Nexus. According to an anonymous Google employee, that 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display mentioned above is just about the only spec to make the final cut. The processor, however, is more likely to be a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos (that's right) with an accompanying dual-core PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics chip. That rear facing camera? Try 8 megapixels with a newly beefed up sensor. The handset should also ship with a girthy 2,050mAh battery fully capable of juicing this apparent LTE / CDMA / GSM Android monster.

Dewey Melchi 06.10.2011 | So what you're saying is wait another year at least? |
Veda Zarella 06.10.2011 | I'd be patient and wait for the iPhone 5. |

Gilma Marchini 05.10.2011 | Better apps on the iPhone, which makes the phone worth it. |

Doug Bieling 05.10.2011 | People would be so much happier if apple had just called it the 5... hahaha proper funny Its twice as powerful, lots better graphics engine, much better camera, hd video recording etc etc ... its just its in the same case and still has the number 4 in it. Id say its a pretty good upgrade and i'm def no apple fan boy? What else is coming in the 5 that makes it worth waiting for? If they had changed the casing etc it would have pissed many people off who had bought accesories etc for their 4... they can't win. |
Crissy Bienert 05.10.2011 | Galaxy S2, check it out... I was hoping to upgrade to the new iphone but its just not that huge of a jump from iphone 4. So now I am looking at getting the Galaxy S2. |
Nick Ross 05.10.2011 | Yes, but will it blend? |
Nakisha Startup 05.10.2011 | droid bionic would be my choice |
Dana Ordinario 05.10.2011 | Just get a iPhone4 for next to nothing. Yes the 4S is nice but the only major upgrade to it is Siri and while some of the things you can do with it are amazing I don't feel the need to get rid of my iPhone4 just yet. Everyone was a little disappointed at the presentation but you know they have the actual iPhone5 back in the lab. Their just tweaking it for release early spring next summer. It's exactly what happened with the 3GS. It's a half step phone, IMHO. |
May Artman 05.10.2011 | iPhone because it has an apple logo and maschine |
Latoria Kavulich 05.10.2011 | Xperia Arc |
Cristian Carmona 04.10.2011 | im getting my iphone 5 from Mr Jobs |
Leeanna Ayla 04.10.2011 | Moved to OT |
Scarlett Saupp 04.10.2011 | i wouldn't mind getting my hands on a 4S and give siri a run on it |
Coreen Pankow 04.10.2011 | iPhone 4 ftw. i had the first gen droid (it was a piece of shit by the end... wouldnt send/recieve messages + id get phantom voicemails w/o missed calls. -- not to mention slow as all hell) but this ultimately comes down to preference... i love my macbook and the iphone was a logical next step. |
